Looking at the first month of 2017 in the rear-view mirror, it feels like we’ve been busier than ever. Having welcomed our first employee and having introduced ourselves to a couple of new potential clients, we’ve been working to scope out engineering work for bot
h existing and new contacts, whilst continuing work on the projects that we’re already committed to.
As the projects that we’re currently quoting for are more result-based rather than effort-based, require the input from multiple engineers and don’t require a continuous presence at the principal’s site, we’ve decided to rent part of the previously DSM-owned office in Urmond, the Netherlands. Not only does this office facilitate us to work together on multidisciplinary projects, being located close to the Chemelot-site, the office provides us with a basis for networking with future potential clients in the area.
We do enjoy the hustle and bustle that comes with multidisciplinary project management, but it’s good to know that our new office comes with a planted atrium to relax. Although we haven’t managed to find a hammock or a cocktailbar yet, at least we’ve got palmtrees to unwind under near-tropical circumstances.
